Helsinki Business Hub visual identity receives red dot award

The Helsinki Business Hub concept, created by design agency Kuudes Kerros, was awarded with a red dot by the international jury of this year’s red dot design awards. The prize was awarded in the category of communication design.

Red dot is among the most recognized awards of international design. The prize
acknowledges superb design and trendsetting. There were over 6000 entries this year
from a total of 39 countries.

Kuudes Kerros’ prize-winning design was commissioned by Greater Helsinki Promotion
Ltd (GHP), an agency set up to promote international business in the Metropolitan
region. GHP’s mission is to make Helsinki’s business opportunities well-known and to
get companies, talented individuals and investors interested in the region. The task
of Kuudes Kerros was to create a visual strategy and identity and a name for the
regional brand.

The concept of the Helsinki Business Hub is focused on the creative potential and
originality of the Capital region. The new visual identity offers a common,
international umbrella brand for the business promotion of the Helsinki region.

All award-winning designs will be on display at the red dot design museum in Essen,
Germany, from 4 December 2008 to 11 January 2009.
