Finland and China fortify innovation and environmental cooperation

The Finnish Minister of Economic Affairs Mr. Mauri Pekkarinen, and the Chinese Minister of Commerce Mr. Gao Hucheng signed a two co-operation agreements, aiming at strengthening cross-border trade and economic relations as well as science, technology and innovation.

A Golden Bridge will be built up between China and Finland

The China (Shenzhen) - Finland Golden Bridge Innovation Centre announces its establishment as China’s first innovation platform that will provide access abroad for Chinese high-tech companies. Greater Helsinki Promotion and Shenzhen Nanshan Government have officially signed A Memorandum of Understanding during the 11th China International Hi-tech Fair, thus establishing the China (Shenzhen) - Finland Golden Bridge Innovation Center in Finland.

Finnish design networking in Shanghai

Snowball / Finnish-Chinese Design Industry event in Shanghai on November 3-5, 2009 will gather together Finnish design-related companies, designers and other actors interested in the Chinese market to meet the leading names of design in China. Helsinki Guestbook – a digital guestbook for friends of Helsinki

The Helsinki Guestbook is a digital guestbook filled with personal greetings from visitors to Helsinki. Launched on 15 September 2009 at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport at the My City Helsinki restaurant, the Guestbook includes a touch screen and a camera that enable personalized greetings. The Helsinki Guestbook service is based on an interactive concept that will create a network of memories, experiences, stories and encounters allowing people to see familiar places from a new perspective, and introducing them to new places. The service provides new content to Helsinki’s subjective story bank, and allows people to see the city with new eyes.

Greater Helsinki joins Finnish Pavilion at Shanghai World Expo 2010

Greater Helsinki region joins forces with the Finnish Expo 2010 organization to make the capital region of Finland come alive at the Finnish Pavilion Kirnu in 2010. Spearheaded by Greater Helsinki Promotion Ltd, Helsinki promises to put into use its best technological resources, innovators and cultural organizations in order to make sure all Expo visitors will know Finland and its capital region and will want to visit it in person.

Helsinki Business Hub visual identity receives red dot award

The Helsinki Business Hub concept, created by design agency Kuudes Kerros, was awarded with a red dot by the international jury of this year’s red dot design awards. The prize was awarded in the category of communication design.
