Helsinki at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai

front_head_x_shoulders_smallThe world gathers in Shanghai from May to October next year for the World Expo 2010. Naturally, also Helsinki will be well presented at the event. GHP is one of the national partners at Kirnu, the Finnish Pavilion, which enables us to showcase to the world the very best of what Helsinki has to offer.

The theme for the World Expo 2010 is “Better City – Better Life.” The theme suits Helsinki and Finland perfectly. I believe we have a lot to offer for the World Expo 2010, and I believe we can learn a lot too. The global urbanization requires new solutions to improve people’s livelihood. Environmental issues, energy efficiency, good infrastructure and balance between work and free time are all things we have to keep in mind if we want to improve the quality of life of all people.

We welcome everyone to visit the Finnish Pavilion at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai and to see what Helsinki and Finland has to offer. Our goal is to make sure true networking happens and lasting friendships are forged. We hope to be able to foster even deeper ties with the people of Shanghai and China, and the whole world!

Please read on to hear what other projects we're involved in this spring and the coming summer.
