Approximately 3 per cent of enterprises in Helsinki are foreign affiliates. The affiliates

employ over 108,000 persons altogether.

Swedish presence is very dominant among the foreign affiliates operating in Helsinki.

While most of the foreign affiliates are European, Japan and the United States also have

a strong standing on the list.

In addition to regular enterprises, Helsinki offers foreign affiliates a fertile soil to build

on. Over 700 foreign affiliates have set up business in Helsinki in just four years and their

revenues have grown by nearly 19 billion euros.
