    Aurora Summit: Safe and Secure Automated Transport in All Conditions

    In all modes of transport, automation is one of the key trends and at the same time one of the key challenges. Aurora Summit 2018 will take place to discuss this highly important theme of future traffic: intelligent transport that works safely and securely in all conditions, even outside the sunny California and when it is raining cats, dogs, snow or hail. The Summit brings together the public and private sectors to discuss the state-of-the-art as well as the necessary actions needed for automated transport to meet this challenge.

    Infrastructure for future transport is built today

    The theme of the first Aurora Summit is Safe and Secure Automated Transport in All ConditionsEnsuring that automated transport will be developed to work also in challenging environments and in every weather requires further discussion on technological preparedness and possibilities. It also requires discussion of the regulatory environments and international standardisation. The Summit will raise a very important aspect of how infrastructure and infrastructure management can support the development of transport automation.

    Winter is coming - together towards a snowtonomous future

    Our international speakers will guide you to the world of automation applications and international testing. The Summit will showcase ITS services and transport automation in extreme weather. We will also visit the Aurora test-section open to all organisations to test ITS innovations and automation to meet the challenges of different environments. In addition to hearing about the developments in road transport, you will get the latest news about automation in maritime sector.

  • Winter Sport and Facilities Seminar

    As a part of sister City co-operation between Beijing and Helsinki  - A uniq first time ever -  Ice Sport Seminar will take place at Helsinki City hall on 7th of February. A Chinese delegation including Beijing Sports Buro,  Beijing Organizing Committee For The 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, (CCPIT Beijing) and different winter sports related organizations and officials will give their insights about China situation

    Finnish knowhow will concentrate on winter sport arenas and other buildings and cleantech and energy efficient solutions. Finnish speakers will include companies and associations linked  for winter sports. Detailled program will be available in January.
