Major gaming company Ubisoft acquired Helsinki-based RedLynx

Major gaming publisher Ubisoft has acquired a Helsinki-based game studio RedLynx, the developer behind the popular Trials franchise. Trials has been one of the top selling franchises on Xbox Live Arcade, responsible for over 2 million paid downloads over the past few years.
“The team at RedLynx has developed exceptionally strong digital brands that stand out for their high replay value, their long tail sales and their multiplatform positioning,” said Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot.
