Fox International Channels (FIC) Nordic Expands in Finland

Fox International Channels (FIC), which distributes TV channels and digital services worldwide and is the sister company of 20th Century Fox Studios, has announced the acquisition of the Finnish FTA TV Channel, Suomi TV, expanding the company’s Nordic presence into Finland. 

The acquisition of Suomi TV is the latest step in FIC’s ongoing Nordic growth strategy and represents FIC’s continued commitment to the region. FIC Nordic has expanded its operations rapidly over the last year launching its first entertainment channel in Norway, Fox Crime, and consolidating the Nordic distribution of its factual channels: National Geographic Channel, National Geographic Channel HD, Nat Geo Wild and Nat Geo Wild HD.

This investment in Finnish broadcast, and FIC’s continued expansion throught Europe further establishes FIC as a leading player in the Nordic media entertainment market.
