Finland and Russia boost cooperation in energy efficiency, renewables

Acknowledging the great opportunities to improve energy efficiency and utilization of renewable sources, Russia and Finland aim to deepen and develop mutually beneficial cooperation in these areas, according to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed in Helsinki early February 2010 by Sergei I. Smatko (r.), Energy Minister of Russia, and Mauri Pekkarinen, Minister of Economic Affairs of Finland.
